With an aim to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the Nile and the environment against plastic pollution, AFGRE employees joined VeryNile organization to help clean up the Nile River from plastic waste, on 21st of February. AFGRE employees attended a workshop with a primary focus on upcycling, where they had the chance to work on products themselves with upcycled materials. The group’s employees’ volunteer work resulted in adopting a sense of responsibility to drive environmentally focused behavior, thereby reducing plastic waste. The workshop highlighted the importance of proper disposal of plastic waste, which has been on the rise in recent years, posing a significant threat to marine life, migratory birds, and human health.
